Who We Are
Noramidye Seafood Co. was founded with a clear vision: to produce sustainable, healthy, and premium quality seafood. We operate one of the most advanced mussel aquaculture farms in Turkey, located in the pristine waters surrounding the Marmara Islands.
We believe public health is our absolute priority. The black mussels (Mytilus Galloprovincialis) grown on our double-line suspended culture ropes are harvested and immediately transported to our nearby Processing and Purification Facility.
In our facility, mussels undergo depuration for a minimum of 48 hours in clean seawater continuously treated with ultraviolet (UV) sterilizers. This biological purging process entirely clears any sand, silt, or microbiological pathogens, guaranteeing an exceptionally clean and grit-free product.
Our state-of-the-art facility is designed according to EU hygiene regulations and holds the A-class processing approval number TR10-0273 from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
At Noramidye, we are dedicated to protecting our marine resources while contributing to the economy and delivering the highest quality, ecologically farmed shellfish to our global clients.
Our Corporate Journey
Having started its mussel farming investment in the province of Balıkesir in 2015, Nora Midye began production on a 50,000 m² sea area and today continues its journey across more than 500,000 m².
In an industry that was heavily dependent on imports for materials, equipment, and know-how in its early years, our accumulated experience enabled us to support regional production and domestic machinery, equipment, and consumable projects, making the majority of our supplies locally available not only for ourselves but for the entire sector.
Taking its production capacity and infrastructure to the top of the mussel industry, Nora Midye continued its investments with the goal of becoming a fully integrated operation and established Turkey’s first integrated mussel processing facility.
Products manufactured in our processing facility, which operates to European standards, have taken their place on the shelves of chain supermarkets.
Having invested over EUR 10,000,000 in the region over the last 10 years, our company places great importance on local employment, and particularly on women’s employment, increasing its workforce to more than 50 employees.
Setting processed mussel exports as its primary target for 2026, Nora Midye continues to raise its production and investment goals.
